job_description.job_card.job_descriptionControl access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises. Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity within the manufacturing and industrial environment. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols. Maintain accurate logs and reports of access control activities and any incidents that occur during the shift. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe conditions and report any irregularities. Support emergency response activities as required, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate. Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and recommend improvements to access control processes. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Customer service experience is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Job Description
As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Gardner, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits within a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with access procedures, all while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
