We are looking for a Substation Designer to lead projects for high / medium voltage physical substation projects in the region. Typical clients include utilities, municipalities, and cooperatives. Your work will be supervised by the Substation Manager and project Engineers.

This role is open to both engineers and designers and responsibilities may change depending on background.

• This is a direct placement role so you would be 100% employed by the firm!

Duties :

Responsible for the production of detailed plans for high and medium voltage physical substation improvements

Producing a high-quality work product while fostering a high level of client satisfaction

Responsibility for the preparation of complete and accurate plans and details.

Mentor junior designers

Typical tasks :

Substation site plans

Substation arrangements and elevations

Conduit plans and schedules

Grounding plans and details

Steel structural detailing

Qualifications :

5-10+ years of experience

Strong background with substation projects

Experience with AutoCAD
