Other details : The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. This opportunity involves providing anesthesia care across a wide range of cases including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics, endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT, with no hearts, OB, or blocks. Responsibilities include assessing, preparing, and managing patients in the perioperative / procedural period, performing history and physicals, obtaining informed consent, conducting pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments, and administering various types of anesthesia such as general, regional, epidural, spinal, IV regional block, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC), along with invasive monitoring and airway management. The practice operates in a large academic hospital setting with other anesthesia providers present, a CRNA / anesthesiologist ratio of 2 : 1 or 3 : 1, and a medical direction model. Shift options include 8-hour (6 : 30am 3 : 00pm), 10-hour (6 : 30am 5 : 00pm), or 12-hour (6 : 30am 7 : 00pm) schedules, with a 7 : 30am start on Thursdays. Overtime must be pre-approved, hours are not guaranteed, and callbacks count as patient-facing hours. Lunch is not included and requires clocking in and out. Anesthesia techs provide support for equipment turnover, and CRNAs in this state do not require DEA licenses; however, temporary privileges are not available.
