Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field plus 8 years related experience. Prior experience must include the following responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, focusing on increasing software development maturity and skills across the team.
• Define and drive the technical direction of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to develop innovative solutions and deliver high-quality software products.
• Architect scalable and maintainable software solutions, considering factors such as performance, security, and usability.
• Make informed decisions on technical matters, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals and technical debt.
• Review and provide feedback on technical designs and code implementations, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Qualifications

Location and Work Arrangement

Location : Lake Forest, IL, US 60045-5201. Work Location Type : Remote. 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $154,000.00 to $202,500.00, which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.
