Senior Compliance Engineer

About the Role

A growing engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to ensure that electrical products meet UL certification requirements, with a particular emphasis on UL 2580 and related standards. This full-time position is based in Troy, Ohio, and offers a base salary of $100,000 or more, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bringing new products to market and maintaining regulatory compliance for existing lines, working closely with global engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product compliance with UL, CE, FCC, and other applicable regulatory standards
• Conduct and oversee UL testing, audits, and documentation for certification
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Evaluate testing results and provide technical recommendations for compliance
• Submit product documentation to certification bodies and manage the approval process
• Maintain compliance for existing certified products, ensuring ongoing regulatory adherence
• Monitor changes in industry regulations and implement required updates
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and testing laboratories
• Develop and maintain internal processes for regulatory compliance and safety standards
• Provide training and compliance guidance to internal engineering and product teams
