Location : Elmhurst, IL

Compensation : $75,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)

Employment Type : Direct Hire

We are seeking a Service Engineer who is technically inclined, has professional communication and organizational skills, and enjoys working in an open, fast-paced team environment. Our company designs and manufactures customized process fluid chillers for advanced technologies including electron optics, x-ray, MRI, and medical device cooling.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage chiller alarms to ensure uptime

Rapid response to active alarms or downtime events

Provide technical support by phone or email to customers

Gather technical information related to product operation and communicate resolutions in a timely manner

Manage and dispatch third-party contractors as needed to troubleshoot and perform repairs

Prepare reports for OEM customers and end users

Interface with OEMs, end users, and contractors to ensure seamless operation

Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Relations teams to identify and implement product and process improvements

Occasional work during non-traditional hours may be required

Other responsibilities as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent technical background in refrigeration

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities

Reliable follow-through and follow-up skills

High level of integrity and a team player

Ability to respond to mission-critical issues in a timely manner

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Familiarity with ERP systems
