We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization by supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities :
- Open and sort incoming mail related to financial operations.
- Process deposits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare and distribute monthly billing invoices and account statements.
- Review and process invoices for payment in a timely manner.
- Print and distribute disbursement checks while maintaining proper documentation.
- Investigate inquiries regarding paid and unpaid invoices to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with various accounting reconciliations and generate financial reports as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and organizing documents.
- Utilize accounting software to support financial processes and data entry.
- Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned to support the department.
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least three years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or business administration, demonstrating attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as managing electronic files and folders.
- Experience using accounting software to support financial operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial inquiries and discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external contacts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
