Typical shifts 8a–6p, 9a–6p, and Saturdays 7a–1p

Pet Medical Center of Springfield is a full-service, small animal hospital delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to the pets of Northern Virginia. We’re searching for a capable Veterinary Assistant (VA) to support our expanding medical team—including a new doctor starting in June. An Experienced Veterinary Assistant (OTJ Training) with 3+ years of clinical experience , particularly in anesthesia, dentistry, and patient care.Passionate about mentoring others and contributing to consistent, high-quality workflows.A natural leader and team player with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Eager to grow technically and emotionally in a structured and supportive environment.Able to accommodate flexible weekday scheduling and Saturday shifts.Effective communicator who contributes to a supportive, honest workplaceWhat You’ll Do :
Support and coach fellow technicians to ensure adherence to hospital protocols and medical standards.Oversee daily technician workflow including anesthesia, diagnostics, surgical prep, and patient care.Partner with Veterinarians during exams and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and care.Maintain accurate medical records and champion client communication.Help foster a positive, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture .What You’ll Gain with CVP :
