job_description.job_card.job_descriptionHealth, vision, and dental insurance with weekly costs as low as $9.90 for employee-only coverage (up to $60.80 for family) Life insurance, short-term disability, and pension Paid time off, 9 paid holidays, vacation, and paid sick days Maintain and repair high-speed processing and packaging equipment Support plant utilities : boilers, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and anhydrous ammonia systems Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed Execute preventive maintenance to maximize reliability Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, specifications, and parts catalogs Conduct pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry, and equipment installation Partner with Operations to minimize downtime and coordinate with outside contractors to complete work safely and efficiently 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience Fast, effective troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems Experience with pneumatics and PLCs Preferred : HVAC, ammonia systems, 3-phase 480V electrical, hydraulics, basic MIG / TIG / Stick welding Ability to set up and change over production lines Ability to read blueprints and perform plumbing tasks Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, including out of confined spaces and occasionally overhead Comfort with standing, kneeling, and climbing ladders Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical exam Must be 18+ with the ability to read and speak English for safety High school diploma or GED required Trade school completion for Electrical is a plus Mechanical troubleshooting Electrical troubleshooting Machine safety inspections

Picture your shift beginning in Brentwood, MO. You walk the production floor of a leading St. Louis-area food processor, listen to the rhythm of high-speed packaging lines, and check the heartbeat of plant utilities—boilers humming, compressors steady, refrigeration and ammonia systems operating in sync. You troubleshoot quickly, keep downtime low, and help a team that values craftsmanship and safety.
About the Role
TekPro has partnered with a top food manufacturer to hire full-time, direct-hire Industrial Maintenance professionals on 2nd and 3rd shift. Comprehensive benefits, strong training, and long-term stability are part of the package.
- Pay : $28.90–$38.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Shifts : 2 : 00 pm–11 : 00 pm or 11 : 00 pm–8 : 00 am (training schedule may vary)
- Location : Brentwood, MO (St. Louis area)
- Employment Type : Full-time, direct hire
- Union : Teamsters Local 600 (must join after 30 days)
