Food Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic (Industrial Equipment & Utilities)
Picture your shift beginning in Brentwood, MO. About the Role
TekPro has partnered with a top food manufacturer to hire full-time, direct-hire Industrial Maintenance professionals on 2nd and 3rd shift. Comprehensive benefits, strong training, and long-term stability are part of the package.
- Pay : $28.90–$38.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Shifts : 2 : 00 pm–11 : 00 pm or 11 : 00 pm–8 : 00 am (training schedule may vary)
- Location : Brentwood, MO (St. Louis area)
- Employment Type : Full-time, direct hire
- Union : Teamsters Local 600 (must join after 30 days)

Maintain and repair high-speed processing and packaging equipmentSupport plant utilities : boilers, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and anhydrous ammonia systemsPerform building and grounds maintenance as neededExecute preventive maintenance to maximize reliabilityDiagnose mechanical and electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, specifications, and parts catalogsConduct pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry, and equipment installationPartner with Operations to minimize downtime and coordinate with outside contractors to complete work safely and efficientlyWhat You Bring
3+ years of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experienceFast, effective troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systemsExperience with pneumatics and PLCsPreferred : HVAC, ammonia systems, 3-phase 480V electrical, hydraulics, basic MIG / TIG / Stick weldingAbility to set up and change over production linesAbility to read blueprints and perform plumbing tasksStrong time management, teamwork, and communication skillsPhysical & Workplace Expectations
Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, including out of confined spaces and occasionally overheadComfort with standing, kneeling, and climbing laddersMust be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical examEducation & Qualifications
