The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting upgrades and development of existing packaging equipment and specifying new manufacturing equipment within the Precision Dose facility. Packaging equipment includes fill / seal equipment, blister fillers, cartoners, and labeling equipment.
Mechanical Project Engineer qualified candidates must have :
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Mechanical Project Engineer responsibilities will include :
Manage projects of varying size and complexity related to pharmaceutical packaging equipmentPerform new equipment justification and set project budgetsDetermine whether to manufacture in-house or utilize integrators, based on size and complexity of projectSet project schedules and ensure deadlines and budgets are being metDefine and execute experiments and factory acceptance tests as requiredCreate user requirement specifications, equipment change control documentation, bid documents, and testing requirementsCreate drawings and bills of material packages as neededReview vendor quotations and participate in vendor selectionMay create and execute validation documentsSalary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
