Import Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Make judgment calls in quoting, pricing, routing, and actual final prices on all transactions within the established guidelines of the company for your assigned customer base with approval as required
• Updating any customer specific Work Process as scope of work changes and notification to assigned salesperson or management if none assigned
• Issuance of any required reports as requested by customer or based on SOP or Work Process
• Timely communication with customers per customer specific Work Process and Department SOP
• Process accurate customs entries via our operation system; including Incoterm determination, vetting commercial invoice for CBP required data, classifying invoice commodity.
• Account will require strong background in FDA, EPA and all other government agencies.
• Compile, review and manage all documentation and records required to clear goods through US Customs and utilize experience and knowledge of US Customs rules and regulations to classify goods and determine applicable duty and taxes.
• Transmit information to ABI, verify results and make corrections if necessary
• Check Customs release for discrepancies and maintain appropriate records on file
• Execute file billing in a timely manner
• Keeps Good record keeping as required by law.
