Radiologic Technologist I

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. The position involves essential job functions that ensure high-quality patient care through the precise execution of radiographic techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Produce diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors based on individual needs.
  • Restrict radiation beams to unaffected parts of the patient using cone and collimating devices.
  • Perform portable x-ray examinations in various settings, including patient rooms and emergency rooms.
  • Maintain organizational standards in the x-ray room and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Deliver patient care that is considerate of individual needs, including age, culture, and capabilities.
  • Adhere to all operational procedures and organizational competencies outlined by the Medical Center.

    • Schedule

    This position involves the following schedule : Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 AM to 6 : 30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 2 : 30 PM to 11 PM.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • New Jersey State License is required.
  • ARRT certification or eligibility preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred.
