Job description :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Remote Insurance Business Analyst immediately. This role is crucial for analyzing, documenting, and improving insurance business operations, with a specific focus on Workers' Compensation and Auto claims processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the insurance domain, proven expertise in business analysis within a claim's environment, and excellent technical communication skills.
This is a remote position open to candidates located within the United States only.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Process Analysis :
Analyze existing business operations and workflows within Workers' Compensation and Auto claims to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for rolling back a recent implementation.
Conduct in-depth analysis of claims system features, functionality, and data to ensure alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
Requirements Management :
Elicit, document, and manage detailed business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for new or enhanced claims process features and functionalities.
Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable requirements for development teams.
System Development Support :
Act as the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the SQL developers, clarifying and confirming business systems requirements to ensure accurate implementation.
Collaborate with technical teams on data modeling, system design, and integration efforts related to claims systems.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution to ensure a high-quality product delivery.
Documentation :
Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, requirements documents, and training materials.
Provide support and training to end-users on new claims system features and operational changes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Prior experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in the insurance industry.
Demonstrable expertise and claims experience specifically within Workers' Compensation and Auto insurance lines of business.
Proven experience in analyzing insurance business operations, process mapping, and requirements elicitation.
Proficiency in documentation of functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Direct experience in testing insurance claims process features and functionalities, including test case development and execution (UAT / System Testing).
Ability to work with SQL developers to clarify data needs, system logic, and confirm business systems requirements using technical terminology when necessary.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the United States.
Remote Insurance System QA / Tester - Claims Specialist

Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to focus on our insurance systems, specifically those related to Workers' Compensation and Auto claims. This is a full-time, remote contract position open only to candidates currently residing in the United States.
The ideal candidate will have functional knowledge of insurance claims processes and a proven background in all phases of the software testing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Execution :
Execute manual testing of features, functionalities, enhancements, and bug fixes within the core insurance claims processing systems.
Perform various types of testing, including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Verify system compliance with business requirements, regulatory standards, and established insurance claims operations procedures.
Test Artifact Management :
Design, create, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test data based on detailed business and system requirements.
Develop and manage clear, concise documentation of test plans, test results, defects, and associated system documentation.
Accurately record, track, and retest defects using a recognized defect management tool, working closely with developers for resolution.
Claims Business Expertise :
Apply prior experience testing insurance business claims operations in both Workers' Compensation and Auto lines of business.
Demonstrate a strong functional understanding of the claims lifecycle, including FNOL (First Notice of Loss), coverage verification, investigation, reserve setting, payment processing, and closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Act as a key liaison between the business analyst and the development team.
Collaborate effectively with SQL Developers and Business Analysts to clarify and confirm business system requirements, ensuring test coverage aligns with the intended functionality.
Participate in requirement reviews, design meetings, and sprint planning sessions.
Communication :
Maintain good communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate testing progress, risks, blockers, and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Testing Skills : Demonstrated proficiency in test case creation, documentation, and various forms of manual testing.
Technical Acumen : Familiarity with database concepts and the ability to interact with technical teams (specifically SQL developers) regarding system logic and data validation.
