Job Description

About Just Badge Worldwide

Just Badge Worldwide is building ELITE—the global skills verification platform that transforms how professionals prove capability through real-time behavioral data, not resumes. We've proven the concept, validated our acquisition model, and we're finishing the final 20% of platform development. We're pre-revenue, founder-funded, and preparing for public launch. Join now to help us build the foundation, onboard our first subscribers, and position for scale.

The Role

This is a high-impact capital acquisition role for someone who knows how to close funding rounds and build investor pipelines. You'll lead fundraising across multiple streams : closing our current seed round ($1.35M), positioning for Series A in 9 months ($4M-$6M), and building investor pipelines for our ecosystem expansion including ELITE Launchpad (community-funded ventures), venture studio, and fund.

You're not managing relationships—you're closing deals. This role is about execution : driving conversations to term sheets, managing diligence processes, negotiating terms, and ensuring capital flows when we need it. You'll work directly with the CEO to refine pitch materials, target the right investors, and position JBW for a hyper-growth trajectory through multiple funding rounds.

What You'll Own

Close the seed round : Drive remaining conversations to commitment, manage diligence, coordinate legal processes, and ensure $1.35M closes on timeline.

Build Series A pipeline : Identify, qualify, and cultivate 50+ Series A investors over the next 9 months. Maintain warm relationships, share traction updates, and position JBW for a strong valuation step-up.

Launch Launchpad investor program : Create and execute outreach strategy to angels and micro-VCs interested in funding community-vetted ventures on ELITE's crowdfunding platform.

Lay groundwork for venture studio fund : Begin conversations with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic LPs aligned with our long-term ecosystem vision.

Manage fundraising operations : Own CRM, track all investor conversations, coordinate follow-ups, manage data rooms, and ensure no deals fall through the cracks.

Refine pitch materials : Collaborate with CEO on decks, financial models, and investment memos—iterating based on investor feedback to improve close rates.

Negotiate terms : Advise on term sheet structure, valuation, investor selection, and deal terms to optimize for both capital and strategic value.

What Success Looks Like

Month 1-3 : Close seed round, establish Series A target list (50+ qualified investors), and implement fundraising CRM and reporting systems. Can accept 30 checks from unaccredited at this stage.&

Month 4-6 : Maintain 10-15 active Series A conversations with regular updates and warm nurturing. Launch Launchpad investor outreach with 20+ engaged angels / micro-VCs.

Month 7-9 : Position for Series A raise by coordinating pre-diligence, refining pitch based on traction (6,000+ subscribers, $140K / month revenue), and beginning formal fundraising process.

Ongoing : Build steady pipeline of Launchpad investors and initiate conversations for future venture studio / fund capital deployment.

What You Bring

Proven track record closing venture rounds—you've raised seed, Series A, or growth capital for startups and have a success rate to show for it.

Deep investor network with warm relationships across VCs, angels, family offices, and institutional investors—ideally with the ability to open doors at top-tier firms.

Strong understanding of startup fundraising mechanics—pitch deck development, diligence management, term sheet negotiation, cap table strategy, and investor psychology.

Deal closer mentality—you're proactive, persistent, and skilled at moving conversations from interest to commitment without being pushy.

Exceptional storytelling skills—you can distill complex business models into compelling narratives that resonate with different investor profiles.

Organized and process-driven—you manage pipelines, follow-ups, and diligence processes with precision and accountability.

Startup or venture ecosystem experience—ideally with exposure to venture studios, community-funded models, or platform ecosystems.

Mindset Values

Results-driven : You're measured on closed capital, not just conversations. You move deals forward and don't let opportunities stall.

Relationship builder : You cultivate trust with investors through transparency, consistency, and long-term thinking—but you know when to ask for commitment.

Strategic advisor : You bring investor perspective to internal conversations, helping shape positioning, valuation strategy, and investor selection.

Mission-aligned : You believe in what ELITE is building and can authentically communicate the vision to investors who share that belief.

Proactive and resourceful : You identify opportunities, make introductions, and solve problems without waiting for direction.

Compensation Growth PathPhase 1 : Part-Time (Upon Seed Funding)

Base salary : $40K-$60K annually (part-time, 15-20 hours / week)

Performance bonuses : Tied to successful fundraising milestones (Series A close, Launchpad investor onboarding, ecosystem capital deployment)

Equity : 0.25%-0.5% in stock options (4-year vesting with 1-year cliff)

Phase 2 : Full-Time (Upon Series A)

Base salary : $120K-$160K annually

Additional equity grant : 0.5%-1.0% (refresher grant tied to Series A milestone)

Performance bonuses : Tied to subsequent fundraising rounds (Series B, venture studio / fund raises)

Full benefits : Health, dental, vision, 401(k), unlimited PTO

Timeline

This role begins upon seed round close (anticipated in the coming weeks) and transitions to full-time leadership upon Series A raise (target : 9 months post-seed).

Why This Role Matters

Capital is the fuel for hyper-growth, and JBW is building multiple capital engines simultaneously : equity rounds for the core business, community-funded ventures through Launchpad, and future venture studio / fund infrastructure. As Head of Fundraising, you're the architect of our capital strategy—ensuring we have the right investors at the right time to fuel rapid scaling.

This is a founder-level strategic role where your network, execution, and deal-closing ability directly determine our growth trajectory. If you're a fundraising professional who thrives on building capital infrastructure in hyper-growth environments, this is your opportunity to shape a category-defining company.
