Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Nutrition and Diabetes Department in the role of Registered Dietitian. This position is PRN (as needed) 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm with possible weekend / remote coverage. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is primary responsibilities include inpatient clinical nutrition and long term care. The RD is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process, including nutritional screening and assessments of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, pregnant / lactating, and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. Provides MNT for patients receiving enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition. Implements nutrition care plans to meet patient’s nutritional needs. Counsels and educates patients, family members, employees, medical staff and community members on nutrition and wellness topics. Develops, conducts and evaluates educational classes and materials. Participates in developing and updating procedures, protocols and departmental policies. Facilitates compliance with The Joint Commission, state and other regulatory agencies related to nutrition care. Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality initiatives. Provides consultative services to long-term care facility.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION
If the candidate is a Registered Dietitian but does not hold a valid certification in the state of Wisconsin, they must have a pending application for certification with the state of Wisconsin at their employment start date.
FTE : PRN (as needed)
Shift : Various days 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm with possible weekend / remote coverage.
