The Buyer is primarily responsible for material procurement, delivery and confirming release to support the Master Product Schedule (RTE). The Buyer procures the raw materials for the entire site.

Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM. This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky.

The Role

• Maintain ERP system database. Insure prompt and accurate processing of requisitions, purchase orders and invoices in support of all departments and financial goals
• Procure material to support manufacturing plans in compliance with site Material Requirement Planning process and SOPs
• Coordinate with QC team to have material released to support timely execution of MPS
• Track the status of requisitions, delivery, contracts and orders; escalate issues appropriately and in a timely fashion
• Analyze ERP every day for order creation, release requisitions or expedite material requirements
• Monitor / analyze inventory levels. Manage inventory within prescribed norms
• Establish strong relationship with suppliers; provide updates to Supply Chain Management on possible supply issues
• Maintain strong communication between functional areas (i.e. finance, quality, scheduling, production, warehouse, CSR / PM etc.)
• Other duties as assigned.
