Position Summary

Our Housing and Consumer Unit advocates on behalf of qualifying low-income members of the community facing issues such as eviction, foreclosure, and debt, among many others. Currently, the unit has an opening for a full-time Staff Attorney Staff Attorneys are responsible for providing high-quality legal services to our vulnerable clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• The position requires representation in all areas of law, including :
• Housing.
• Landlord / tenant.
• Disputes.
• Evictions.
• Foreclosures.
• Utilities.
• Public benefits.
• Consumer.
• Civil matters.
• The services provided can range from legal advice, brief service, to full court representation.
• Aside from direct representation, this position requires :
• Preparing and delivering client and community education.
• Conducting intake and outreach.
• Appearing in administrative and judicial forums.
• Active bar participation.
• Special legal and community projects.
