Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY :
Manages resources and delegates tasks / responsibilities as appropriate to optimize achievement of unit scope and department objectives. Promotes retention of staff through recognition and promotion of teamwork. Ensures optimal care coordination through daily interaction and role modeling. Supports and facilitates a collaborative relationship between medical staff and hospital staff.

3. Utilizes the findings from quality improvement efforts to enhance care coordination and customer satisfaction of physicians, patients and families.
4. Assists the Manager in staffing the department for safe and efficient care coordination.
5. Assists the Manager in the process of interviewing and hiring staff for the department. Promotes the recognition and retention of staff, contributes to the staffs performance appraisal process and assists with rounding as directed by manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residency as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Applicable Specialty Certification from an approved credentialing body in area of practice preferred. Minimum of three (3) years recent clinical experience in area of assigned specialty (Outpatient clinics, Cardiology, Orthopedics, other). Prior charge or lead experience preferred.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
