Quality Assurance Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Coordinator leads a QA team in the review and audit of the assigned programs' documentation and database practices related to grant, contract and legal requirements as well as organization policies and initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities include : overseeing the Quality Assurance Reviewers' performance of continuous quality improvement procedures, ensuring that program files are accurate and meet funder requirements, monitoring that selected program practices meet funder and legal requirements, ensuring that identified deficiencies are corrected in support of continuous incremental improvement, striving to have all the QA Team's assigned programs "audit ready," keeping up to date with all assigned program funder requirements by attending workshops and meetings, ensuring QA Team includes funder / grant mandatory requirements in internal audits, so programs are audit ready.
Additional responsibilities include conducting special audits for programs with corrective action plans, reviewing team internal program audit reports, keeping up to date on denied billing, corrective action plans, and other identified problems, supporting programs prior to funder audits, tracking, resolving, and documenting continuous quality improvement issues, communicating with funders, meeting monthly with assigned program personnel to provide technical support with regards to data quality management, and other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Evaluation and QA.
Essential duties include conducting continuous quality assurance efforts, learning and keeping up to date with assigned program grants / contracts, leading QA Team in special audits, supporting programs prior to, during, and subsequent to funder audits, meeting with assigned programs monthly, and other duties as required.
Requirements include passing a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, a bachelor's degree in social science or related field, and five years' experience in quality assurance or data analysis, three years' experience in database operations / management, one year experience with nonprofit organizations, and seven years of related work experience without a degree.
Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of Medi-Cal regulations, especially relating to provision of substance abuse treatment.
