Job description
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the facility by performing various functions such as plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting, electrical repairs, and mechanical maintenance. This role also includes servicing and repairing company vehicles and forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and repair company vehicles and Forklifts, including brake systems, hydraulics, and engine components
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records for all fleet equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on company vehicles and forklifts to identify mechanical issues
- Replace worn or damaged parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure building operates efficiently.
- Clean and repair common areas of the facility including break rooms, restrooms, stores, and warehouse
- Repair building fixtures such as lights, doors, floors, and ceilings
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on all facility equipment and machinery
- Perform outside grounds upkeep using power tools / equipment
- Operates a variety of equipment and machines including gas and arc welding, saws, and hand & electric tools, pumps, and compressors
- Drive forklift truck to transport dumpsters
- Work with other departments when instructed
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
High School diploma or GED1 year of work related experienceBasic knowledge of electric, plumbing, and mechanicalCapable of using power toolsKnowledge of hazardous of cleaning chemicals and suppliesStrong work ethics & is a great team playerPreferred Qualifications
At least 2 year of related work experienceExperience using dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.Previous welding, electrical, and mechanical / hydraulic repair experienceKnowledge of low or line voltagePhysical Demands
Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassistedAble to climb up and down a ladder as high as 15ft carrying up to 50lbsStanding, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, sitting, & constant movements of hands to operate tools / machinesAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Work Environment
Work is performed indoors & outdoors with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and movements of machine / equipment.Salary Expectations
