JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Logistics Specialist (Warehouse Operator) is responsible for managing warehouse operations and kitting processes to ensure smooth material flow, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials while also ensuring that kits for production or assembly lines are accurately prepared. The ideal candidate should have experience in logistics, warehouse management, and kitting processes, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking of materials using warehouse management systems (WMS / ERP).
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Track and manage inventory levels, restocking as needed to prevent shortages.
• Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with business needs.
• Prepare and assemble kits of materials, components, and parts required for production.
• Ensure all necessary parts are included in kits and verify accuracy against bill of materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with production teams to meet kit delivery schedules.
• Identify and report shortages or discrepancies in kitted materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitting areas to optimize efficiency.
• Improve kitting processes to enhance workflow and reduce errors. Required Skill Sets :
• Experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, and kitting processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software (SAP)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and documentation
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
• Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) is a plus.
