Boone County, located in Columbia, MO, is looking for a Director of Facilities Management.

Responsibilities :

With general direction by the Boone County Commission, the Director of Facilities Management leads the team responsible for the maintenance, groundskeeping, electronic security, and custodial services of the Boone County Government campuses. Provides leadership and direction to Department personnel to provide County-wide services. Collaborates with Boone County leadership, staff, vendors, and the public to manage projects, contracts, and agreements that maximize the investment for County taxpayers for facility maintenance and improvements. Develops and controls annual operating and capital budgets to ensure they are consistent with the overall objectives of the County; provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.

Status : Full-time, exempt, benefited

Working hours : Primarily 7 : 30 a.m. 4 : 30 p.m., Monday Friday, with occasional work outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, building trades, mechanical engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of facilities and grounds maintenance and construction experience at a management level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications : Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in project management, budgeting, contract administration, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and / or other related field, of which at least three years are in a lead or supervisory capacity; experience with custodial and landscape apparatuses, controls associated with HVAC systems, fire sprinklers, refrigeration systems, CCTV, and security door control systems.

Salary Range : Starting at $92,892.00, or commensurate with experience.
