Cargo Tank Inspector

We are currently searching for a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector with 5+ years of tank and / or trailer repair and inspection experience for our Gibraltar, Mi Location!

Address : 27007 Fort St, Gibraltar, MI. 48183

Shift Hours : Monday through Friday, X : 00 AM to X : 00 PM

Pay : Dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas :

  • The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Tank service and repair
  • Trailer suspension installation and repair
  • Experience with air brake systems and repairs
  • TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
  • Must be a Registered Inspector

Physical Demands :

  • The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
  • With assistance, occasionally lift and / or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
