Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Must have an active license to practice. Minimum 1 year experience in a pharmacy setting. Strong computer skills Check prescriptions for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, allergies and contraindications before dispensing medications. Oversee pharmacy operations including confirming new and refill prescription orders, conducting screenings for interactions and allergies, and dispensing medications. Follow the HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protect health information. Provide expert guidance and consultation to patients regarding medication information in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.
