Job Title : Landscape Architect

Salary : $80K - $95K base

Location : Hartford, CT

Based in the Hartford, CT area, we are a multidisciplinary civil engineering and land planning firm serving New England. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of a talented Landscape Architect to join our thriving team! You’ll take the lead on site design and will contribute creative, sustainable, and functional landscape solutions for both public- and private-sector projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop landscape plans and planting layouts, site lighting, grading, and hardscape design in support of residential, recreational, educational, commercial, mixed-use, and municipal developments.
  • Integrate sustainable design strategies, including stormwater controls, hydrologic assessments, water-quality measures, and green infrastructure such as ponds, bio-retention areas, and separators.
  • Prepare specifications, cost estimates, construction details and work closely with civil / traffic engineers, surveyors, planning departments, and regulatory bodies to secure municipal, state, and federal approvals.
  • Monitor site development, ensuring compliance with designs, codes, and environmental standards. Provide clarifications and adjustments during construction.
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, synthesizing engineering, planning, and aesthetic objectives for cohesive project delivery.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a related field of study preferred
  • Professional Landscape Architect license (PLA) preferred
  • Experience with site analysis, planting design, grading, stormwater management, construction documentation, and permitting
  • Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams, with familiarity in civil engineering, surveying, and regulatory coordination
  • Proficiency in CAD, 3D modeling, and sustainable design practices
  • Leadership and project management experience in a range of project types (parks, residential, commercial, institutional) a plus
