Position Summary Spanish Broadcasting System seeks a motivated and dynamic individual with exceptional creative skills to develop multi-platform solutions sales presentation decks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintains relationships with current and potential advertising accounts.
Prospects potential advertisers and develops sales strategies to acquire new business.
Services and maintains existing accounts.
Familiar with standard sales concepts, practices, and procedures within the sales field.
Plans sales strategy to accomplish assigned budgets based on experience and judgment.
Performs tasks such as filing, copying, printing, scanning, using fax, and operating various software / tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Integrated Radio System, Tapscan, Arbitron Maximiser, Wide Orbit).
Completes and submits fully executed Sales contracts on a timely basis with all signatures and approved insertion orders; ensures contract data matches insertion orders.
Provides new or revised sales contracts for revisions, changes, or cancellations.
Reviews contract confirmations and ensures accounts are created and updated in the system; mails confirmations to clients.
Provides production order copies to Copywriting / Production and Continuity.
Follows up on spots that require adjustments and obtains client approval as needed.
Monitors Contract Verification Report to ensure revenues are not lost and coordinates with advertisers accordingly.
Monitors the market to stay informed about active advertisers and targets them for opportunities.
Typically works under the supervision of the Local Sales Manager.
Essential duties and responsibilities are the most important or frequently performed. Employees may be required to perform other related duties.
Minimum Requirements An Associate degree or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in Media Sales or a related area with high volume sales.
1-3 years of media experience preferred.
Creativity and latitude in approach; strong organizational and negotiating skills.
Ability to create advertising proposals and deliver effective presentations.
Knowledge of radio broadcast sales tools (e.g., Arbitron rating numbers, Maximiser, Wide Orbit, Tapscan) and use of formulas in proposals.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize and multitask under deadlines.
Ability to work independently and in a team; bilingual Spanish / English preferred.
Employment / education will be verified; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the individual must be able to perform the established essential functions to perform this job successfully.
Physical Requirements Work involves lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. Sedentary work typical; may involve standing or walking occasionally.
