Weekend Crime Writer

A company is looking for a Part-Time Weekend Writer (Crime).

Key Responsibilities

Pitch and write multiple daily crime news stories (6-8 a day, plus updates)

Aggregate and reframe crime news, interviews, and social media content into compelling digital stories

Produce photo-driven stories, galleries, and exclusive reports

Required Qualifications

BS Degree in Journalism or related field

2-4 years of digital writing / reporting experience in entertainment, celebrity, or sports media

Deep knowledge of and passion for crime and pop culture

Strong news judgment and ability to spot viral angles

Familiarity with SEO, social media platforms, and performance tracking tools
