Adjunct Faculty Position : Graphic Design / Type Design

Opportunity :

The Department of Art at Covenant College invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach one section of Type Design in the Spring 2026 semester. This introductory studio course focuses on the history and design of typefaces, fonts, visual hierarchy, and layout. Covenant College is an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Teach an undergraduate studio course on Graphic Design for a total of six hours a week
  • Plan lessons and assignments, grade assignments, respond to student inquiries, submit grades

Qualifications :

  • An appreciation and understanding of the mission of Covenant College
  • M.A. in a relevant field from an accredited institution or extensive art studio experience
  • Expertise in the subject area and appropriate technology
  • Teaching experience preferred
