Join to apply for the News Producer role at Sinclair Inc. KRCR has an immediate opening for a creative News Producer to join the #1 news team in Redding, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production of our newscasts. This position will also work closely with newsroom leaders, reporters, fellow producers, and the rest of the team on the newscast's content. You will determine the content and flow of the newscasts, work to generate and write stories, and develop content for our digital and social platforms. We are seeking a skilled individual with sound news judgment, strong writing and grammar skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in the newsroom and field crews. Our producers play an important role in newsgathering across all of our platforms.

Responsibilities

• Determine the content and flow of the newscasts; write stories and develop content for digital and social platforms.
• Collaborate with newsroom leaders, reporters, and fellow producers to plan and execute newscasts.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and execution of daily news coverage.

Compensation & Benefits

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $18.85 per hour. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
