Description :

The RN will work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room.

This facility has 885 licensed beds and is designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

It serves as a teaching hospital and features a comprehensive chest pain and stroke center.

The unit consists of 40 beds with an average of 130 patients per day.

The patient population includes all specialties, both adult and pediatric.

Common case types were discussed during the interview with the manager.

The role involves supporting the charge RN and collaborating with anesthesia providers and CRNAs.

Technology used includes an electronic medical record system, IV pumps, and medication dispensing systems.

The RN will remain within the intra-operative space and may float between service lines to support departmental staffing needs.

Scheduling will require weekend rotations, on-call responsibilities, and holiday expectations based on team assignments.

Requests for time off will need manager approval.

Scrub color is jade green and will be provided by the hospital.
