A Gastroenterology Physician is needed for a locum assignment in La Plata County, CO starting on 09 / 08 / 2024. The position requires approximately 14 shifts per month, including on-site clinic and call duties, with responsibilities including scoping procedures and patient management in various settings. Candidates must be board certified in gastroenterology with an active Colorado license and have completed a gastro fellowship, with preference for experience treating IBD.

Our client in La Plata County, CO is in need of a Gastroenterologist for a locum assignment!

Job details :

  • Start - 09 / 08 / 2024
  • Approximately 14 shifts per month - As the calendar fills with providers this will be limited.
  • Mon-Friday - 8a-5p - Onsite (clinic or scoping) - Hourly
  • Mon-Friday - 5p-7a - Night call
  • Sat-Sun - 7a-7a - 24 hour call.
  • Setting : Call, Clinic, Emergency Room, Inpatient, Outpatient Trauma Level III
  • FTE : 1.0
  • Required Procedures : Scoping, EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, flex sigs and 24-hour PH probe.
  • Required job duties : Providers must sign all orders and notes.
  • EMR : EPIC
  • Support Staff : MA, NP / PA, RN

Job Requirements :

  • Board Certified Gastroenterology - Required, ABMS or AOA
  • Active CO license Highly Preferred, Must be willing to apply for the license at acceptance.
  • Gastro Fellowship - REQUIRED
  • Site would prefer if candidate can treat IBD (Inflammatory Bowl Disease) patients. - Highly preferred to note.
  • Must be available for dates listed in job description to be considered - REQUIRED
  • Malpractice - Must have malpractice explanation & Self inquiry NPDB report at time of presentation - REQUIRED
  • Clean Background - REQUIRED
