Quality Administrator

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Quality Administrator. The Quality Administrator manages the operation, training, and data integrity of the Power Systems quality management software. The individual in this role collaborates closely with the supply chain and quality teams to implement data-driven decision-making. Seeking candidates with some basic mechanical and electrical aptitude required; Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred but not required; Previous experience in quality assurance or supply chain related field a plus; Previous experience with data visualization software a plus.

Requirements for the Quality Administrator position include :

  • Proficient with data collection, analysis, and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision, work independently and in a team environment
  • Skilled in process / workflow / gap analysis procedures
  • Ability to train users on the quality management software
  • Ability to move between projects as priorities change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical requirements must be met for the Quality Administrator job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
