Systems Engineer

Overview

Systems Engineer role at Actalent. Travel may be required for a few weeks at a time to support internal sites with OT and control systems for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal sites on existing OT (Operational Technology) and control systems for manufacturing processes. Travel could include Boston, Milwaukee, Buffalo, etc. for a few weeks at a time.
• Support HMI / SCADA systems to monitor and control manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, IT, and production staff, to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
• Collaborate with external systems integrator partner during MES installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OT / Control Systems, SCADA, and MES to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
• As needed, integrate process equipment with MES and SCADA platforms, ensuring data accuracy, synchronization, and real-time communication.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Ensure cybersecurity and network segmentation of control systems in collaboration with Corporate IT.
• Participate in commissioning, validation, and upgrade projects for new equipment or control systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to plan terms.
