Controller
The Controller will support the VP of Finance by overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role provides direct leadership to the accounting team, maintains strong internal controls, and ensures compliance with external reporting, audit, and tax requirements. In addition to managing the month-end and year-end close processes, the Controller will drive continuous improvement in financial systems and procedures, support strategic decision-making with financial insights, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.

Education Duties require a broad knowledge of a general technical field such as accounting, finance, economics, industrial management, human resources, supply chain management, marketing, advertising, or business administration, etc. Education acquired in four years of college resulting in a B.A. or B.S. degree or by equivalent on-the-job training.
Experience Over 5 years up to and including 7 years.
Complexity Of Duties Duties are widely varied and include an overall general knowledge of inter-related company operations, policies, and procedures and their applications to cases not previously covered. Duties require considerable judgement, originality and creative thinking to work independently toward general results; to apply logical thought processes to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to devise new and modify and adapt existing methods, techniques and procedures in order to meet new or unusual requirements and to make related decisions guided by precedent and within limits of established policies.
Supervision Received Under specific direction where definite objectives or goals are established requiring the use of a wide range of procedures and the employee plans and arranges own work and coordinates work with others, referring only unusual case to supervisor or others.
Responsibility For Errors Probable errors may be serious, involving losses such as improper costs, failure to take discounts, overpayment, loss or holding up of productions, waste of material, damage to equipment, loss of employee, supplier, or customer goodwill. Errors could result in confusion and delay causing lost time in more than a limited phase of company operations. Errors would become apparent in normal business cycles, however, correcting and adjusting could.

Character Of Supervision Direct supervision of a department involving responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and personnel, where the "Complexity of Duties" factor warranted a rating of the third degree or less.
Scope Of Supervision Responsible for supervising more than 2 and seldom over 10 persons.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
