Welding Job Description

$ 21.25 – $ 24.25

1st or 2nd Shift

10-12 hour shifts Monday – Friday, Weekends as needed.

Location : Gainesville and Lula, GA

Production Welder / Fabricator

Position Summary

Safely and efficiently welds products in accordance with work instructions, by using specialized and approved tooling to perform standardized work and ensure product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce units within the standard cycle times, while maintaining quality standards.
  • Operate Miller welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support standardized work processes and team-oriented goals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Verify all previous parts have been assembled, and / or welded correctly.
  • Participates and maintains 5s standards.
  • Understands, complies in support of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Perform special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Basic English language competency
  • Must be able to read and follow specific work instructions in English.
  • Flexible to handle frequent business need changes.
  • Must be able to work in a FAST-paced environment with variable season temperatures.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of weld-shop processes preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing welding experience

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
