Technical Project Manager (Glendale)

An employer in the Los Angeles area is looking for a Technical Project / Program Manager acting as the Scrum Leave responsible for two agile teams consisting of 8-10 engineers each. You will be responsible for running the daily stand ups, leading the charge, sprint planning and retrospectives and removing impediments. You will be working with various teams and owning 2 projects. Your focus project will be supporting the Fantasy Games Platform; (backed services and APIs) for fantasy football. This team supports backend Sports- ESPN digital groups for Fantasy Game Platforms- apps / Websites / Tournament challenges those areas. This is in flight ad will be adding new features into the fantasy product. The other focus project will be for the unified and messaging team that is in flight. This position is offering a pay rate range between $80-$85 / hr.

• Supporting mobile projects
• CSM / CSP Certification preferred
• Experience in streaming media software and digital technology
• Experience with backend systems, machine learning, and personalization
• Technical proficiency, ex. coding skills, quality assurance experience or technical writing background
• Airtable experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager /
• At least 4 years of Scrum / Agile experience leading individual agile teams working directly with engineers and running sprint ceremonies
• leading multiple teams and multiple projects and large programs within multiple tracks of work
• Background in media entertainment and interest in Sports
• Technical experience- must have worked as PM in the technical spaces such as websites / APIs / Mobile Apps for example.
• Experience supporting backend teams / APIs
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Accountable for driving execution and delivery of multiple technical product or software development projects from start to finish.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification required. Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, CSP, or SA are recommended.
• Experience working as part of a larger PMO to deliver complex solutions, working through an agile process to call out issues, remove impediments, and manage risk.
• Experience managing expectations, negotiating compromises, and interfacing between a technical team and business partners.
• Develops and manages project plans comprised of complex activities and dependencies.
• Communicates status, updates and project summaries via presentations, e-mail and direct communication with key stakeholders and leadership.
