The Pollardwater division of Ferguson Waterworks is a leading supplier of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products, specializing in tools, equipment and supplies for municipal water and wastewater operations throughout North America. Since 1837, Pollardwater's team of industry experts focuses on providing superior customer service and solutions for a wide variety of industry needs.

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Manager in our Newport News, VA Pollardwater Branch!

The Facility

Approximately 7500 k sq. ft

Direct oversight of 3+ associates

1st shift operation : Hours include 7 : 00AM - 4 : 00PM

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for our Pollardwater Warehouse

Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, crafting a safe work environment for associates

Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts

Continue to increase quality in customer deliveries

Drive high levels of inventory integrity within the building

Maintain associate engagement throughout the warehouse

Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates

Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and

shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers

Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in our sites

Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately

Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management

Qualifications

2+ years' experience in distribution management supervising 3+ employees in a distribution / warehouse environment

A strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required

Previous experience working in a WMS environment is required

Must have leadership experience in leading and developing a team, mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management

Ability to work with people and build an environment that is positive and engaging for the associates

Excellent interactive communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization

Strong computer skills to include expertise in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook

Experience managing a team of delivery drivers is a plus

Material Handling Equipment Certification

Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations

Pay Range :

$4,124.70 - $11,275.00 -

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles

OR

Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.

Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
