Overview

Delivery Program Manager, Data Center Development, Third-Party Data Centers. Role involves defining and developing a multi-year strategy and roadmap for third-party data center delivery execution, building and leading a team of project managers, and coordinating with external developers and contractors to oversee design through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with external partners and facilitate contractual agreements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all project-related issues, risks, and opportunities across various functions, ensuring project alignment and successful execution with external stakeholders (developers, general contractors, internal engineering and commissioning agents).
  • Lead and develop internal teams, overseeing active project schedules and cost control activities for third-party projects, and advocate for program-level controls, safety, and quality initiatives.
  • Cultivate a customer service-oriented organization for internal stakeholders, providing a clear project delivery strategy and ensuring alignment on critical project goals for third-party developments.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program or project management within mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centers, chip fabrication plants) or design-build / real estate development.
  • 5 years of experience managing capital projects with construction planning and scheduling from programming through commissioning.
  • 5 years of experience in an executive leadership role.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 33% of the time as required.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • 10 years of experience managing design, construction, and commissioning of facilities with medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems, including AC / DC systems, power management, SCADA, central utility plant, piping / ducts, PLC and digital controls, and automation platforms, in a third-party development context.
  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects involving external development partners.
  • Experience with financial modeling.
  • Experience in construction contracts.

    As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — planning requirements, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating with cross-functional partners across the company. Projects may span offices, time zones, and hemispheres; you will coordinate stakeholders and keep them updated on progress and deadlines. You will define and develop a multi-year strategy and roadmap for third-party data center delivery execution and lead a team of project managers overseeing design through completion, focusing on process optimization, portfolio health reporting, understanding contractual limitations, building scalable solutions, and leveraging technology to meet growing business demands. You will provide leadership over third-party data center and offsite infrastructure projects, developing project managers and serving as the partner / vendor development lead for developers and contractors. This role focuses on design, construction, and capital project support for ongoing operations and requires proactive management and SME-level expertise in developing technical facilities.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range is determined by location and job-related factors. The recruiter can share the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
