The Wyoming County YMCA is looking for a Head Lifeguard. Must be able to work the open shift.

Position Summary :

Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

General Functions :

Under the direction of the the Aquatics Director or Coordinator, the head lifeguard maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas.

Essential Functions :

Hire, train, supervise, and schedule assigned staff.

Ensure staff training and training records are in compliance with the aquatics safety plans and county and state regulations.

Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage for all pool activities.

Ensure pool supplies are adequate and safe.

Act as lifeguard on duty as required.

Maintains effective relationships with the members, participants, and staff.
