A Hydrovac Operator is responsible for operating hydro excavation equipment to safely expose underground utilities, remove debris, and perform trenching or digging tasks using high-pressure water and vacuum systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment professionally and safely
• Perform hydro excavation to expose underground utilities, dig trenches, and remove debris
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance of equipment
• Supervise and mentor laborers or swampers on the crew
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, DOT regulations, and environmental standards
• Complete all required documentation (e.g., field tickets, inspection logs, job reports)
• Set up and inspect grounding / bonding procedures for safe operation
• Travel to various job sites and work in diverse weather conditions

Minimum Requirements

Licensing : Valid Class A CDL - Manual with Tanker Endorsement
