Summary

Lov N Care Children's Academy is looking to hire a part-time afternoon Teacher Assistant. We offer competitive pay based on registry level and experience. You will be responsible for assisting developing and implementing the curriculum, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children and resolve parental concerns.

Duties

• Review learning material with students, either individually or in small groups, to help reinforce lessons presented by lead teachers
• Create relationships and bond with the students and families
• Aid in teaching appropriate behavior and social skills to students
• Assist in enforcing school and classroom rules
• Assist with record keeping, such as attendance records, student progress notes
• Help teachers prepare for lessons by assembling materials and equipment
• Provide personal aid and care as necessary to students, such as help with hygiene, eating or toileting, for example
• Maintain a clean classroom by disinfecting daily and weekly, moping, sweeping, etc.
• Transport children safely to specific locations
• Complete driver training
