Duties :
- Work in the Dallas office, but handle litigation in multiple counties
- Litigate cases in court, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- draft questions for depositions
- defend clients in depositions
- prepare arguments for hearings, pre-trial matters
- draft questions for trial witnesses
- draft pre-trial documents
- serve as first or second chair in trial
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Texas State Bar Association for more than 2 yearsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent research and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teammanage daily tasks related to a litigation docketmanage and oversee a litigation calendarAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsPrior experience in litigation and negotiation is preferredThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to join our team.
