Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director of Plant Operations  with a strong background in ice cream manufacturing to lead operations at our production facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of plant performance, ensuring consistent product quality, food safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role requires in-depth knowledge of frozen dessert production processes, leadership excellence, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct daily operations of the ice cream manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe production.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP).
• Oversee production planning, batching, freezing, packaging, and inventory control to meet customer and market demand.
• Track and optimize key performance indicators (OEE, yields, downtime, labor efficiency, waste).
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure implementation of safety policies and training.
• Lead and develop plant teams, including supervisors, operators, maintenance, and sanitation staff.
• Drive continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) to enhance throughput and minimize costs.
• Collaborate closely with QA, R&D, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Manage plant budgets, capital projects, and resource planning.
• Prepare and deliver accurate reports on production metrics, staffing, safety, and quality to senior leadership.
