Supplier Quality Engineering Lead

Maintain competence as the subject matter expert of supplier quality business processes, procedures, and requirements, and deliverables. Coach, mentor, train and develop the supplier quality groups, employees. Maintain the supplier performance evaluation system to include : metrics, data, dashboard, reword and recognition for top performers, and improvement process for low performers. Define effective communications streams between suppliers, MEKRA Lang and customers. Establish Zero Defect Quality corrective action expectations and supplier requirements. Ensure the Quality Management System requirements are integrated into the supplier quality business processes. Develop and deploy AQPQ, PPAP and other core tools with suppliers. Lead the supplier charge back process. Lead Incoming inspection and Quality Hold area. Ensure ECN, process and product changes for suppliers. Lead supplier scorecards and improvement plans. Lead cross functional actions between MEKRA Lang and suppliers. Conducting supplier evaluations, on site audits, product quality standards enforcement. Monitor Supplier Scorecard Status. Coordinate activity and assign tasks to SQE and other staff.

5 years of experience in automotive industry manufacturing or any occupation in which the experience was gained as well as demonstrated experience in : AIAG engineering and practices; IATF 16949; Statistical analysis and Minitab; ISO 900; and Tier 1 Supplier processes.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a closely related field plus 5 years of experience in automotive industry manufacturing or any occupation in which the experience was gained as well as demonstrated experience in : AIAG engineering and practices; IATF 16949; Statistical analysis and Minitab; ISO 900; and Tier 1 Supplier processes.
