Daytime FOH Shift Lead – Salem's Fresh Eats

Role Summary :
As the Daytime Front-of-House (FOH) Shift Lead, you’ll set the tone for guest interactions and team energy throughout the day. You're the go-to leader for FOH operations, ensuring smooth service, a clean and welcoming environment, and exceptional customer experiences. From opening duties to midday peak hours, you’ll guide the team and deliver results that reflect Salems Fresh Eats’ values.
Key Responsibilities :
FOH Leadership :
- Provide direction and motivation to the FOH team during daytime hours.
- Assign tasks and keep service flowing efficiently.
- Set the standard for attitude, appearance, and professionalism.
Guest Experience :
Welcome guests warmly and ensure they receive attentive, friendly service.Address concerns or complaints with confidence and empathy.Foster a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere that guests look forward to.Operational Oversight :
Open the restaurant following company procedures.Ensure all FOH stations and tools are in working order.Monitor dining room cleanliness, restocking, and shift setup.Support kitchen coordination for timely food presentation and accuracy.Staff Supervision :
Train and coach FOH staff for consistency and growth.Support shift scheduling and labor targets.Provide feedback and performance support in real time.Help resolve minor conflicts and staffing needs during the shift.Cash Management :
Set up and reconcile registers at shift start and end.Ensure accurate and secure cash handling by all FOH staff.Monitor POS activity and report discrepancies.Shift Reporting :
Maintain detailed shift logs including sales, staffing notes, and incidents.Report issues and observations to GM / AM.Suggest improvements or process tweaks based on shift experience.What You Bring :
Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality leadership role.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Confidence in handling customer concerns with grace.Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.Willingness to learn prep basics and support BOH if needed.Strong attention to detail and calm decision-making.Success Measures :
