The delivery / warehouse team member will work with other members of the distribution
team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete,
accurate and on-time deliveries to the company's customers. The driver / warehouse team
member will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost- effective
manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.
JOB DUTIES :
- Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks,
securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost- effectiveperformance with preventative maintenance in mind each morning.
Maintain and file vehicle inspection reports and logbooks.Immediately notify their supervisor if they are involved in any accidents or trafficviolations
Immediately notify their supervisor of any problems or medical conditions thateffect driving safety or job performance
Handle all duties honestly, follow high ethical standards and present aprofessional image at all times.
Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are deliveredaccording to established time frames and customers needs.
Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updatedinstructions are received and maintain Nextel contact with supervisor to receive
delivery instructions.
Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according tocompany directives and report any discrepancies to company.
Increase customer satisfaction by collecting information, feedback on service andcommunicate information back to company.
Inform customers of new products and services that can increase customersatisfaction and sales.
Safely operate all vehicles and equipment and maintain all required certificationsand licenses.
Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.Pulling, filling, packing and setting up orders for delivery or pickup.Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time.Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order.Shipping and receive duties as assigned.Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate teammember.
Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow team members andcustomers to coordinate deliveries or pickups.
Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.Process returns accurately.Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug free workplace.Attend company meetings and product knowledge meetings as required bymanagement.
Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.Present a neat and professional image.Assist in keeping facility secure.Follow company policies and procedures.Assist in physical inventory and cycle counts.Other duties as assigned.
