Responsibilities

  • Develop, record, and perform various failure analyses on systems and components to identify root cause.
  • Establish root cause failure analysis techniques, processes, and test methods to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Support sustaining engineering projects by proposing drawing and specification changes, modifying engineering models and drawings, designing test fixtures, conducting testing, and analyzing data.

Qualifications

  • Student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis, heart anatomy, and fixture / test development preferred.
  • Proficiency with Engineering CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytical software, such as Matlab and Minitab.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • A passion for medical devices and making a significant positive impact on patients.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour to $51.50 per hour . The base pay may be based on the candidate's program year, discipline, degree, and / or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern / Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company's consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend may be offered for those who qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
