Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support Persistent Surveillance, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with contract execution, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army regulations while maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for the programs.
- Identify, analyze, and document potential risks related to ISR operations, logistics, and sustainment.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, prioritizing risks based on impact and likelihood.
- Implement mitigation strategies to address technical, operational, financial, and contractual risks.
- Coordinate with program managers, engineers, logisticians, and Army stakeholders to ensure risk management is integrated into all phases of the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor and report risk metrics, trends, and mitigation progress to senior leadership and government counterparts.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Army risk management frameworks, including ISO 31000 and MIL-STD-882E.
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to ensure cost, schedule, and performance risks are proactively managed.
- Develop and maintain a Risk Register and facilitate regular risk review meetings.
- Prepare risk mitigation reports, white papers, and briefings for both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in risk management within government contracting, defense, or aerospace industries.Strong understanding of S. Army acquisition processes, and DoD risk management frameworks.Experience with ISR systems, and persistent surveillance technologies.Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and contract risk assessment tools.Proficiency in risk modeling tools such as Active Risk Manager (ARM), Primavera Risk Analysis, or similar platforms.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including military personnel, and engineers.SECRET or higher security clearancePreferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification.Experience managing risks in multi-national defense programs.Knowledge of export control regulations (ITAR, EAR).Background in surveillance sensor systems.Company EEO Statement
