CNC Programmer -
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC programmer to create CNC programs for a variety of production and prototype parts. The ideal person should know CNC machining processes, fixturing, CNC cutting tools, and Gibbs Cam software (Solidworks / Mastercam).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Operate CNC lathe or mill
- Create and edit CNC programs and setup sheets for processing parts on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
- Design project fixturing and plan cutting tool sequence to process parts efficiently
- Support setup and operator machinist to produce quality parts.
- Provide feedback to design engineers to produce manufacturable designs and drawings.
- Research new technology in CNC cutting tools, machining fixtures, and effective operation sequences to reduce part costs and cycle times.
- Perform any additional reasonable tasks consistent with your professional abilities that may be requested by the company
Qualifications :
Experience in mill CNC machine tool programming and setupUnderstanding of G code editing and troubleshooting. Creating and editing macros is a plusStrong technical knowledge of current CNC machining cutting tools and calculating feeds and speedsAbility to interpret engineering drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with the machining of castingsExperience using Gibbs CamProgramming experience using a coordinate measurement Machine (CMM) is a plusGood verbal and written communication skills in English.Competent using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,)Company Description
