Patient Service Representative
The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role ensures a smooth patient experience by managing registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in person and over the phone.
Greet patients courteously and assist in resolving concerns, escalating issues as needed.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collection and reconciliation of co-payments.
Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and referral information using CS-Link / Epic.
Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments as needed.
Process referrals and authorizations across multiple insurance types.
Maintain accurate documentation and handle correspondence between patients and providers.
Explain clinic policies, procedures, and available services to patients.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with infection control standards.
Required Qualifications :
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
Strong ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications :
2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative.
Proficiency in CS-Link / Epic.
Understanding of medical terminology.
